The Norfolk House was on St. James Square as the London residence of the Dukes of Norfolk from 1722 until 1938 when it was demolished (why? I do not know). It was rebuilt between 1748 and 1756 for Edward Howars, 9th Duke of Norfolk by the architect Matthew Brettingham, the interiors designed by Giovanni Battista Borra, being Jean Antoine Cuenot the carver and Thomas Clarke the plasterer.
Gustavian style (swedish)
King Gustav III of Sweden after spending much of his early life in the French courts of Versailles, developed a style that was heavily influenced by French Neo-Classical design, as well as Italian Classicism. Gustavian style is marked by grayed pastels, lots of whites and creams, painted furniture, clean simple lines. This style is rather austere and not overly ornamented. A patron of the arts and benefactor of arts and literature, Gustav III is regarded one of the leading sovereigns of the 18th century being fond of performing and visual arts as well as literature.
