I'm doing a project on Benjamin Rush. I can't find anything on what he contributed to the Declaration of Independence. Like, what was his input and views on it? What was his hand in it? I hope you can help! Thanks :)

Benjamin Rush was one of the representatives for Pennsylvania at the Second Continental Congress. He was one of those who actually replaced previous representatives who were against independence. He was friends with Richard Henry Lee, and while, he wasn’t sure all of the colonies could be united, he fully supported the idea of Pennsylvania becoming independent. He was a very religious man, and believed that independence was America’s destiny. Try reading his journals and papers, which have been published, or reading the letters of the other members of the PA representatives, like Franklin, and see if they ever wrote to Rush.
